Whyte Island hosts Office Staff Morning Tea

It's not often the Accounts, Marketing, HR and Administration departments get to view the Northbuild projects first hand, but that is exactly what they did on a recent trip to the newly completed Emergency Services Training facility at Whyte Island.
On a guided tour by Construction Manager Ian Busch, the group wound through the rabbit warren of simulated areas, designed to depict real life rescue scenarios. With the project just days away from client handover, it was an exciting time to see the finished product for which the office staff pay accounts, hire employees, distribute media releases and manage correspondance.
The group was shown the replica petrol station, bank building, takeaway shop, warehouse, family home and even clambered through the scale replica of a large ship's hull. Managing Director Paul Boddington, his wife Pattie and their grandchildren Joe, Tom and Lucinda were on the tour, and were very impressed with the elaborate detail of each area.
Site Foreman, Bob Parchert, joined the crew for Morning Tea and said he was very proud to see the high-quality, unique project nearing completion.
Northbuild will remain on this site for a further job involving an administration building adjacent to the training facility.
