Work-Life Balance

The much sought after 'Work-Life' Balance is highly valued at Northbuild Construction and is displayed not only in their approach to each workday, but also in the array of staff events throughout the year.

The mid-year event is a family oriented day in July, designed to bring all site and office staff together for a day of fun. In December, the Christmas Party is a great formal event for colleagues and partners, and boasts several entertainers each year.

Other events happen within each department and site, and this section will be updated regularly with reviews and photos of these occasions.

Fishing Report from Sunshine Coast office

You should have seen the one that got away…..

Late last year the staff from the Sunshine Coast office took time out from their busy schedules to squeeze in a half day fishing trip aboard the “San Bartolomeo 11”

Despite the moans of a few office staff not used to the early starts (5.30 am departure) and the torrential rain that had been pouring all night we headed out from Mooloolaba optimistic about the day ahead.

Also despite the efforts of the person who was found to be aboard with a bunch of bananas (bad luck for fishermen) most aboard took home some fish with plenty of undersize fish reluctantly returned to the ocean.

The highlight of the day for some was the cunning old dolphin that swum around at the back of the boat eating all the undersize Red Emperor that were thrown back.
