Three-storey office building and attached workshop warehouse.
The $4.63 million modern headquarters, built to resemble a ship, abounds with nautical references including a feature screen acting as the bow of the ship, and extensive use of blue coloured glass.
High quality finishes throughout, including polished stainless steel surfaces and Starphyre balustrade glass. The external façade finishes include painted render on block work, alpolic cladding and aluminium zinc and steel rafters on multiple sides.
The project artfully intertwines function and style through the use of masonry load bearing walls, glass internal partitions and curtain wall windows.
Construction completed in eleven months and within budget.
The close proximity to the Brisbane River presented safety challenges and tidal complexities.
