Northbuild completed a two level senior general learning area and staff centre in March, 2011. The building has a striking colour feature and not only adds an attractive flair to the school, but has been designed for easy access in all weather conditions with covered walkways and ramps. The western side boasts large roof eaves to provide shade on hot, Queensland afternoons, and high ceilings to provide extra light.
With six offices, staff work areas, a kitchen, amenities, and an open under croft area, the ground floor offers a much-needed area for school staff. Level one, consisting of eight general learning areas (with operable dividing walls that can be opened and stacked), two collaborative learning areas, a staff prep room, and a store room, provides Stretton College students with several new, highly advantageous learning areas.
With the invitation of Principal Jan Klotz, Northbuild was proud to support the school’s Pathways Program. Using the new school building as a practical example, Northbuild staff from many different backgrounds gladly donated their time and expertise to this great program.
